Voice conversations

Talk to your notes hands-free. The voice assistant can answer questions and take the same actions as the text chat, and the whole conversation is recorded as turns in your chat history.

Starting a voice chat

Press the microphone in the chat bar to start talking with your notes.
Your speech appears immediately in the chat, and a "thinking" indicator shows while the assistant prepares its reply.
The conversation auto-scrolls and is saved alongside your text chats.
It uses the same note/folder context and attachments as the text chat.

Natural turns & goodbye

The assistant handles conversational turns naturally. After a period of silence it will say goodbye and end the session (re-enabling active listening). If you say goodbye, it will close the conversation as if you pressed stop.

Silent mode (text-only)

Prefer to talk without hearing the bot? Toggle the speaker to mute its voice — you still speak, it still understands, replies in text and runs tools, just without spoken audio. The setting is remembered across sessions and can also be changed in Settings, below the voice option.

Mute/unmute toggles instantly without reconnecting, and your choice persists the next time you open voice chat.

Headphones & speakers

NotesXD adapts playback to your output device, working with both headphones and speakers.

What voice can do

Anything the text chat can do — answer about your notes and attachments, create notes and tasks, open or rename items, draft emails, and delete a note (always with an on-screen confirmation).
