AI chat
An always-on assistant lives in the chat bar. It understands the note or folder you're working in, keeps a session history, and can take actions when you ask.
Context: note or folder
- Ask about the active note, or about an entire folder.
- In folder context, the chat can read the content of notes in that folder without you opening each one.
- Attached files (PDFs, images, documents) are included as context — see Files & attachments.
- Large content is truncated to fit; the assistant can open a specific note for full detail when needed.
Sessions & history
The chat keeps a history of sessions. Press the + button to start a new conversation; previous sessions remain available so you can pick up where you left off.
Taking actions
Beyond answering, the assistant can act on your workspace. For example:
- Create a note (with a default name, or the name you give it — never duplicated).
- Add tasks, optionally with priority and due dates.
- Open or select a note to show it on screen.
- Rename a folder.
- Delete a note — always with an on-screen confirmation.
- Create an email draft using the note's recipients, subject and content.
Email drafts
Ask the assistant to draft an email and it works like Share → Create email draft: it pulls recipients and subject from the note, attaches the note's files, and writes a clean HTML body for you to review and send.
"What do I have to do?"
Ask what's on your plate and the assistant looks at both your calendar and your tasks across all notes, ordered by due date and priority — including today and tomorrow.
Safety
The chat includes guardrails against prompt injection and role changes, and it will not perform bulk-destructive actions such as deleting all or a group of notes.
