NotesXD is private by design. Your notes, tasks and files stay on your Mac, transcription runs locally, and we never use your data to train AI models.

Local by default

Notes, tasks and attachments are stored in a local database on your device.
Transcription is performed entirely on your Mac — NotesXD does not record audio. It transcribes speech to text in real time and discards the audio immediately.
Nothing is uploaded to the cloud just to transcribe.

What the AI receives

Chat and voice features use Google Gemini. To answer your question, NotesXD sends only the necessary context fragments — not your whole library. Your data is never used to train models.

Only the relevant fragments needed to generate a response are sent to Gemini, over a secure connection, and they are not used for training.

What we do not collect

Everything stays on your device, and NotesXD never records audio. We do not collect:

Audio recordings of your meetings.
Transcription content.
Note content or task data.
Contact lists.
Screen recordings or screenshots.
